Teacher's Valentine

This year for Valentine's Day we made the teachers some Rolo pretzels with M&M's on top (the recipe is all over Pinterest and on the back of the Rolo bag, just use M&M's in stead of the nut) and I made a sign that said "I Rolo-ver with excitement because you're my teacher!"
I put them in some re-usable containers.  Then after they are all eaten the teachers can use the container for whatever they want.

My printer was running out of ink, but I thought it looked neat so I just left it go.

I had the boys each sign the one for their teacher.

Here are the signs I made if you'd like to use them...

Teacher and Bus Driver Gift

I had made the teachers and bus driver Honey Roasted Almonds.  (Click here to go to the recipe.)  I put them in a baggie and in a container they can re-use.  I made tags that said "I'm nuts about  my teacher!"  They had told me it was pretty cute.

If you'd like to use the tags, just right click and save the image to your computer.

Teacher GIft

For my first grader, the PTO gave the teachers a fancy cup with "SV Staff" on it so I didn't want to giver her a water bottle.  Instead I bought a glass container that she'd be able to re-use for left overs or whatever, and I filled it with glue sticks.  It says "Mrs. Coulehan, You're the Glue that held our class together... Thanks for sticking with the job! Have a great summer!!!" and I had my son sign it.

She had mailed a thank you note to the house and said that she just loved the gift!  She's such a great teacher and I will miss her!!!!

Here's the Jpeg... Sorry his teacher's name is on it.  Just paint over it with white and insert your own teacher's name.

Teacher and Classmate End of Year Gifts

This is what I put together for Tanner to take to his Teachers on his last day of preschool...
They are my favorite water bottles with lots of Crystal Light and Walmart brand of Crystal Light drink mixes.  With a tag that says "Thank you for Quenching my thirst for knowledge".  and I had Tanner sign his name on the back of the tag.  My printer must be running our of ink, so the tags printed 2 different colors, oh well.

Here is the tag if you'd like to use.  I printed it on card stock.  Just right click and save it to your computer.  Then open it in whatever picture editing program you use.  Or you can right click, copy it and paste it into a word document.

And this is what I put together for Tanner to give to each of his classmates...
A small bag of cookies that says "you're one smart cookie!  Good luck in Kindergarten!"

Here is the tag if you'd like to use.  I printed it on card stock.  Just right click and save it to your computer.  Then open it in whatever picture editing program you use.  Or you can right click, copy it and paste it into a word document.

My older son also took the cookies in for his classmates.  So his said "good luck in 2nd grade"

There is room on the one above for your child to sign his name.  Sorry I didn't do that on the other one.

If you have an editing program like PhotoShop you can paint over "2nd grade" and "kindergarten" with white and then put in whatever you'd like.

Candy Pretzels

I had seen this idea all over Pinterest, on the back of the bag of Rolo's and Debby the Tupperware lady told me about them.  I like to try and do something different every year for the teachers and bus driver.  So we decided to make these this year.  There is a pretzel on the borrow, a Rolo or Hershey Kiss then and M&M on top.  For Dave's mom we put pecans on top of them.

Josh's B-Day Gift

For Josh's birthday this year we put money in the form of quarters inside of water balloons.  Yup, 1 quarter per balloon.  I had seen on Pinterest about putting dollar bills inside of balloons, but I wasn't sure how to get a dollar bill inside of a water balloon and so I decided putting quarters in water balloons.  I couldn't get the quarters in without ripping them, so Dave sat there and did them all.  It was just a fun way to give money.

Giving Money As a Gift

My cousin graduated high school and is going into the Navy, so we just gave him money but this is how we did it...
I sort of combined 2 ideas that I found on Pinterest.  We taped $1 bills together and rolled them over a straw and put the straw in a red plastic cup (because it sort of blended in with the gumballs), put the cup inside a container of gum balls, used a lid from a big container of yogurt (and we just gave him the real lid so he could properly close the gumballs later) cut a slit in it to pull the money threw and we also put a piece of construction paper of the lid then a bow around it to also help hide the little bit of cup you could see at the top.  We wrote "don't blow it all in one place" on the top and "pull here" to the piece of construction paper that we attached to the money.
When my cousin took it out of the bag he said "oh, gumballs."  Then we told him to read it, he did and pulled it out and said "oh a dollar." Then he kept going and started to laugh.  We thought it was a cute and fun way to give money as a gift.

Teacher and Bus Driver Gifts

I found this idea on Pinterest but I modified it a little bit by covering the strawberries in Chocolate!  Yum!!!
This is what Tanner gave his preschool teachers and JJ gave his Kindergarten teacher and bus driver.

Here are the templates I made if you'd like to use them.  You should be able to just right click and save them.

Gifts For Kindergarten Classmates

I felt like I slacked off a little this year and didn't do as many gifts for the kids classmates for holidays and what not.  A friend posted on facebook about making some for her kids classmates and thought I'd quickly do some for Jayden's classmates.  This is what we made...

Here are the things to print on card stock if you'd like to use mine.  I have 6 per sheet of just a single one.  Right click and save to your computer, print and tape a smarty to it.  I also had my son sign the back of them.

Flowers for Teacher

When I was growing up I remember my mom picking daffodils, wrapping them in a wet paper towel then putting foil around it and I'd take them to my teachers.  I had seen this idea on pinterest for wrapping yarn around a glass bottle to make a vase.  So I had Jayden make one and then he took daffodils to his teacher.  I wanted him to do it for the first day of spring, but we just didn't have time to make the vase, so we ended up doing for his show and tell when he was supposed to bring something in about spring.
