Pleated Mary Jane Baby Shoe

I made this pleated Mary Jane shoe.  I love them!  I think they are so cute!  After I made the ones that were too small, I made ones that are called Kimono and I did something wrong, they just didn't turn out right.  Then I did this pleated Mary Jane shoe using the pattern found at http://shwinandshwin.blogspot.com/2010/11/pleated-mary-jane.html.
And I made mistakes, ughh!  I wanted to get it done quick and I'm working little sleep these days.  When I cut it out I forgot to reverse the one pattern so that the seams would be on the inside of each shoe.  So when I cut another one I went ahead and cut enough so I can make 2 pairs.  And good thing I did, because I realized that I have the pleats going the same direction, when I should have them both face in or out.  So now I'll be making the other pair, hopefully with no mistakes.  But not bad for my first pair, huh?
I'm too excited to post these, so I'm posting it even though there are mistakes.

See the pleats go the same way, OOPS!  I want them both to face in and then I can add a flower, button, bow or whatever on the outside of each toe for a little decoration.

Before Mackenzie and I left to go out to lunch with some ladies I used to work with, I quickly snapped these pictures.  I'll have to get some better ones after I re-make them the correct way.

Baby Shoes

I finally looked up some patterns for baby shoes online.  You can find some at http://www.homespun-threads.com/free_patterns_tutorials.htm I also found some others, if you want more message me and I'll send them to you.
I wanted to make this pair to go with her dress on Sunday.  And I made them seamless so they are reversible, or could be anyway.  I only put interfacing on the outside fabric, and I should have done it to both fabrics so it would look nice with the light pink on the outside.  Oh well, live and learn, it's the first pair I made.
And I made them too small!!!  Ughh!!!  The sole should be 4" and it's 3.75", it printed a little small and I just used it as it was.  If I would have taken the time to read more of the instructions, I would have realized that.  Oh well, they are still cute!  Hopefully Cheryl's baby will be small enough to wear them for a little.

I managed to squeeze one shoe on Mackenzie, but her heel wasn't all the way in.

I have patterns for many more styles!!!  I am so excited to make more!  Keep watching, I'm sure you'll see a lot of baby shoes!!!
